Development, Design and Test of 77 GHz Automotive Antenna Systems Considering Production Tolerance Compensation Techniques

The development of innovative automotive radar array systems along with the understanding in millimeter-wave propagation plays a significant role in the development of future automotive radar systems. Therefore, we are searching for talented students who bring in new ideas for prototyping and testing of new radar- and antenna systems in the European Advanced Radar Team starting from November 1^st, 2025.

Have you (almost) finished your Master's degree or are you a talented engineer in the field of Radar Antenna Development and want to pursue a PhD? Do you want to bridge the gap between academics and industry and apply your scientific expertise to real world challenges in the area of automotive antenna systems?

Your profile

• Completed university degree (master's or equivalent) in electrical engineering (preferably theoretical electrical engineering), technical mathematics/applied mathematics, computer science, or computer-aided physics with at least a good grade
• Several years of experience in antenna development or radar system technology
• Good to very good knowledge of theoretical electrical engineering and high-frequency technology
• Experience with electromagnetic field simulation methods (e.g., CST Suite, FEKO, HFSS)
• Interest in innovative antenna systems, antenna measurement technology, and radar commissioning
• Fluent English is required; German is desirable but not essential.
